Very negatively thought of by most, if not all, on here. WAUC is not a recognized accreditor. May eventually be in trouble with state of Mississippi if degree mill legislation is passed.

If it's the same outfit, they were closed by court order in Louisiana. Did they just move across the state line? WAUC is listed as being in Henderson, Nevada.

They are now in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. My sister lives there. If they give more than a POB I'd ask her to see what the physical location is like.

    Greetings All,

Lacrosses sent me a very impressive student package. My issues is with their accrediting body: The World Association of Universities and Colleges accredits Lacrosse University. W.A.U.C.

    Any feedback?

How can someone assist or belittle a certain acredited university when they haven't even experience it? I am a Lacrosse University Ph.D Student in Mathematics. I choose the University over other distance universities because of the structure of the program, the acreditation, the mode of study, and the price.

If other students wanted a degree without working on it, then Lacrosse is out of that. This University is protecting its name and integrity. It has a standard comparable to other universities worldwide. As a Ph.D student myself, I tell everyone of you out there that the standard is rigorous.

    :) lp

    what's on the transcript?

    LPredd:

The Lacrosse site answers a transcript FAQ this way:

On your transcript, how are the various units of mathematical study described? Are there entries that would naively be taken to be courses (each with a course name and grade) by someone unfamiliar with Lacrosse, but which really correspond to "life experience" credits?

Well, you are totally ill informed buddy. Pray tell, what made WAUC accreditation so attractive?

I hope they learn you good.

    Cheers,

    From this week's news:

"General Motors Corp will rename its Buick LaCrosse in Canada because the name for the car is slang for masturbation in Quebec, embarrassed officials with the U.S. automaker said Thursday."

Maybe "LaCrosse" is the most appropriate name for this less than wonderful school. :)

I must admit that no-one in Western Canada plays lacrosse, which has obvious roots in Quebec. The early French first played lacrosse with the Hurons. Maybe that's why the Huron's are extinct.

    are you a troll?

    LPredd:

Perhaps you could describe the rigorous program in mathematics in some detail for us. Will you be qualified, with your PhD, to do research as a mathematician that leads to results publishable in professional journals of mathematics?

You still haven't answered the question about the nature of your transcript.
