In the Philippines, "Senator Teresa Aquino Oreta has ordered the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to explain how and why it has allowed 26 colleges without permits to continue to operate [...]. 'The CHED should not take this situation lightly,' said Oreta, who has authored or co-sponsored 230 education-friendly laws. 'The students should not be blamed for enrolling in these schools because they were of the assumption that these colleges had the authority to operate due to the mere fact that they were taking in enrollees.'"

So all the students who enroll at less-than-wonderful state-approved schools, Saint Regis University, etc., are absolved of blame.

Shouldn't accreditation be covered at the high school level?
