im,an indian, searching for a internationally accredited university which gives Bachelor of Science in aeronautics or Bachelor of Engineering,in distance learning.pls advice me....is BIRCHAM INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY accredited university?
http://www.chea.org/institutions/index.cfm is where you can find access to the database of places accredited by CHEA-recognized accrediting bodies. A search for "Bircham" doesn't turn up anything, but you should read the various disclaiimers on the CHEA site before coming to a final conclusion. Look at Bircham's "reputation" page here: http://www.bircham.edu/nuevabircham/english/reputation.html They show their accrediting organizations, such as EQAC and so forth. If you do a little research on these accreditors you'll undoubtedly be able to come to your own conclusion. With a Bircham engineering degree you'll probably have a hard time finding a US employer who would be willing to hire you as an engineer: the degree's not going to satisfy the usual US engineering board certification requirements.
balakm74 - I don't know much about engineering degrees but you might try "Jonnies distance learning page" http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Haven/2386/distance.html By the way, you said that you are "indian." I assume that means that you are from India (we in the US have our own "Indians," - I apologize for any political incorrectness). I've been under the impression that India has about a gazillion universities, many of which have engineering programs. Some of which have DL programs. Why not start there? (my curiosity is mainly because Indian universities seem adamant about not accepting non-Indian applicants) In any case, good luck, Jack
